A great base for exploring the Riverina, Cootamundra is ideally situated from many major cities and other small towns that offer many unique and country experiences. The Town is a scenic road trip from Sydney or Melbourne and is only a two hour drive northwest of Canberra. You can take a train from Sydney or Melbourne or fly into Wagga Wagga’s airport and rent a car for the 70 minute drive northwest to Cootamundra.

From the Hume highway, you have three options to turn off to get to Cootamundra, one is just North of Albury (via Wagga Wagga), another is at Coolac and thirdly is just South of Yass (via Harden and Wallendbeen).
