The Cootamundra Visitor Information Centre (combined with the Cootamundra Heritage Centre Museum) is a unique starting point for discovering Cootamundra- get friendly advice from locals about events happening in the town, things to do and activities that suit your interests.

Information provided at the sites include maps, visitor guides for around the Riverina and beyond, information sheets on activities in the township and a small range of souvenirs.

Opening Hours

Every day the Cootamundra Visitor Information Centre is open from 9am to 5pm. The only day’s that the facility is closed are Christmas Day and Good Friday.


Heritage Museum

The Cootamundra Heritage Museum was established by the Cootamundra History Society to recognize the unique history of Cootamundra and district through the collection, research, preservation and exhibition of objects, photographs, written and electronic material.

Entry to the Museum is a gold coin donation.

Please note: The Cootamundra Heritage Centre is an old building and provides some difficulty accessing and mobility issues. There is a ramp at the rear of the building to compensate access at the front of the building. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
