November in Cootamundra

With the Canola and other crops coming to a head, the tractors are at full speed ahead with cutting their crops. Bales of hay will be scattered across the paddocks surrounding Cootamundra. The weather is great, late in October we had heavy, constant rain spread over a week, and with the warmer weather of November the grass is growing like crazy!

Sport and Relaxation

Cootamundra and its villages are home to magnificent sporting facilities, with lush green fields, sporting stadiums, cycling and walking tracks through national parks and much more. There is sure to be something to suite everyone that comes to town.

Take the time to relax at our hairdressers, massage and chiropractors, yoga studio and more. Get that zen you’re after.

Please note: Sport and Leisure activities are usually outside, with some areas being unstable and causing difficulty moving through locations. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you require specific information about areas, please either contact the Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council on 1300 459 689 or the location directly.

Craft Workshops

Felt, Embriodery & Patchwork: Wendy is coming back in 2020 to give us another wonderful workshop using wool felt, embroidery with a little patchwork for flavour. Wendy is a great teacher who caters to all levels, starts with the basics of using wool felt and embroidery, and then you can get started on a project. The below photos are a guide, you can pick something from below, or if you have a pattern or book of hers already and want to make a start. She will also bring lots of samples, felt, threads and patterns to inspire. We will be using the big function room at The Arts Centre Cootamundra, so plenty of tables and space to spread out. You will also be able to bring your machines if you want to, to really get some progress.

Cootamundra Lampshade Workshop, with Annie: Pull out from your stash that favourite piece of natural fibre fabric (30x70cm) and turn it into a magnificent lampshade for ceiling or a lampbase. The workshop is being held in the renowned The Arts Centre in Cootamundra.
