Federation Style Brick Cottage

This Federation style brick cottage was built around 1910 by Mr Fred West, after he sold the Carrington Hotel. He had an adjoining business selling farm machinery, as well as an agency for Queensland Insurance. Perhaps the front part of this residence was designed as the insurance office, with an entry in the protruding bay window. These houses sure embed hundreds of stories within their walls.
